Instagram takes on TikTok with Vertical Stories

Instagram is working on vertical stories in TikTok style. And it kind of makes sense since most of the scrolling on our phones is done vertically as TikTok was quick to realize. The discovery was made by a developer, who was able to dig up the Vertical Stories feature from Instagram's source code.
