MediaTek Dimensity 800U announced with higher CPU speeds, dual 5G SIM support

After bringing its Dimensity 800 and 820 midrange chipsets, MediaTek has unveiled its third entry in the 800-series with the new Dimensity 800U. It’s a slightly tweaked and more affordable version of the Dimensity 800 bringing an integrated 5G modem, dual 5G SIM support (SA & NSA modes) and higher CPU speeds. It’s built on the same TSMC 7nm process and also comes with dual Voice over New Radio (VoNR), and 5G two carrier aggregation (2CC 5G-CA).
